Today I found out two things; three cups of Caribou French Roast Coffee will make me jittery and people are surprised with honesty.
To set up my experience today I first must give you a little background on the area in which I live. Just outside of a small village in Northern Ohio is where I dwell. I do not have the luxury of water that is purified and brought to my house through pipes that are supplied by a city. I do however have water at my house. It comes from a well deep under the ground. Believe it or not many people get water like this. I do not have to take my bucket to the well every morning nor do I have to have Lassie rescue Timmy from it once a month. I have a pump that bring the water to my house.
Once the water is in my house I can use it for whatever I like. I treat and purify the water in my house first. You see there is enough Iron in my water to build a skyscraper. I have a house filter, water softener and osmosis system to purify my water for use. For my More >
Adventures in Running Ragged!

The last few days and weeks of my life have been packed to the brim with activities. They have been extraordinary days but busy none the less. God has blessed my family with a well deserved vacation this week after the past few busy days. I just wanted to give you a brief update on our last few days.
Lets begin with Friday; We had a rehearsal for my brother’s wedding. Kassandra, my wife, and I were in the wedding party. We packed up our van with just about everything in our house (we have found out that as your child gets older you must take more things with you to keep them occupied) and headed to Toledo. We met at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (This is where Kassandra spent the last three years teaching second grade until the school was closed at the end of this school year) and entered under a swarm of bees. Evidentaly a group of bees decided to make home behind a statue of Mary outside of the church. The rehearsal went well and it was time for dinner. We had a full dinner including BBQ chicken, not the chicken with tomato based barbeque sauce but More >
We Are Not Alone

Have you ever had one of those days when no one seemed close to you? One of those days when everyone was far away and no one understood you. I’ve had those days before. I recall, especially when I met my wife, when I was learning and growing in my faith I felt like this a lot.
Most of my friends didn’t understand what I was doing and didn’t like the fact that I was changing. I found a scripture that reminded me that even in what seems to be some of the worst times in our lives Jesus is always there for us. Revelation 3:20 “Behold I stand at the door and know. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me.” As simple as this scripture seems it had a profound impact on me.
I thought about dinner at my parents house both growing up and now. During the normal day my family didn’t have much contact with each other. I would be off at practices, gigs or just hanging out with friends; my parents at work, my siblings at work or off at college. When the More >
